“I have tried many, many pet sitting services in the various places I have lived, (BC, Ontario, Georgia, California) and Tail Blazers is head, shoulders, paws and tails above all the rest.” — Lisa K & Tessa
“(Yvette) is fantastic with dogs and has the safety of her charges as utmost importance...she’s great about communicating by text message if there’s anything I need to know” — Michael F & Walter
“The day that my dog and I met Yvette from Tail Blazers it was pouring rain outside. She was fully decked from head to toe in some serious rain gear and was still out there making sure all her furry clients were getting what they needed that day. I instantly knew that this was a person who is devoted to her business, and obviously cares about the well-being of the dogs she works with.” — Laura A & Motown
“My dogs adore Yvette as she is trusted, dependable and loving to them. Yvette has also given great training advice for my then puppy Oliver and as my geriatric dog Chloe has aged has found a walking routine to suit her changing lifestyle. I highly recommend Yvette to take care of your pets!” Lisa H & Oliver & Chloe

What We Do
Group Walks take place Monday-Friday (excluding statutory holidays) between 10:30am and 4:00pm.
A typical outing consists of an on-leash pack stroll around different neighbourhoods, which may include a pass through Trinity Bellwoods, Stanley Park, Clarence Square, Alexandra Park or St Andrew’s Park. Dogs are grouped together based on location, energy level, personality, length of outing, and physical capability.
$18/45 min (5 days/week)
$20/45 min (1-4 days/week)
Sometimes a dog is best walked solo. Reasons may include age, stamina, injury, size, lack of obedience training, aggression, or other habits that require individual attention. For these special cases we (subject to availability) provide short, private on-leash neighbourhood walks.
Private Walks: $25/30 min
Puppies, puppies, puppies!!! While your new addition is still receiving vaccinations, getting the hang of house training, and learning to walk nicely on leash, we offer Puppy Visits once or twice daily. These visits include feeding, cuddling, a little bit of basic training (we reinforce what you're working on), and a short outing to get Puppy used to relieving himself outdoors. Once a pup is around 5 months he's usually fully house trained and well-mannered enough to join the big kids on a Group Walk. In the meantime, we highly recommend taking puppy training classes to work on basic obedience and socialization!
Puppy Visit once/day: $20/15 min
Puppy Visit twice/day: $30 for two 15 min visits

Just another day in the life
In 2002 I decided to leave the corporate world to pursue my passion: working with dogs. My faithful companion Blazer (rest in peace, sweetheart), pointed me in the right direction.
The well being of your dogs is my business, and I take this responsibility very seriously. SAFETY is my priority, and I am proud to boast a spotless 16 year record of pet care. How? By working longer hours with smaller groups to ensure control, individual attention, and quick reaction in any emergency situation.
In 2012 I founded the Toronto Dog Walkers Association, an exclusive group of dog walkers dedicated to setting standards of professionalism in the pet care industry. Prior that I offered an apprenticeship program, through which I trained many pet-care hopefuls to run successful, safe and professional dog walking businesses.
I attended the University of King's College and the University of Toronto, although the most valuable education I've received has been from the cats and dogs I've shared my life with.
I currently live with formerly feral feline brothers Whammy and Larry, and their canine 'sister' CeCe, and brother DoubleDee. We have also opened our home to foster pups via TEAM Dog Rescue.
The boring stuff: Tail Blazers is insured & bonded, and in addition to multiple Pet First Aid certifications, in 2004 I completed the instructor’s course through Oakland Educational Services. I have also completed continuing education courses on canine behaviour and aggression, in addition to agility and tricks classes.
